How it works
Inhibits α-glucosidase, the enzyme that breaks down carbs into glucose 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20. Also regulates PI3K insulin signaling and secretion to reduce insulin resistance 21, 22, 23. One human study showed 45% decrease in C-peptide level, an indicator of insulin secretion 24. Prevents pancreatic β-cell death under high glucose toxicity 25, 26, 27, 28, 29.		 Evidence
